Furnitureguy.ie is the brainchild of Steve O'Connor.

Born on the Northside of Dublin in the early 80s, hailing from the suburb of Clontarf, however, most of his formative years were spent on the southside during his school days. One of the most common Dublin questions to be asked "Are you a Northsider or a Southsider?" But as Steve could never decide if he was a Northsider or a Southsider, he would to call himself a "NoSo" but deep down he always knew he was a true Northsider.

After leaving school, fast-forward to 2013 when he decided to take a career change due to personal reasons, but had no idea what he wanted to do, however, the arts industry was something that always intrigued him, with love for this and the creativity of his mind, he stumbled on upcycling.

Furnitureguy.ie was born to provide bespoke upcycled furniture & accessories for both home and office spaces.

Steve has trained and worked with some of the best in the business including Annie Sloan Paint, General Finishes Milk Paint, Aileen Hogan of Shabby.ie, The Shabby/Fleetwood Paint Collection, Fusion Mineral Paint and most recently Steve trained with Kata Roberts from Studio 27, Chelmsford, UK.

Every piece of furniture is restored and hand-painted to the highest standard to create a unique finish.

Our aim at futnitureguy.ie is to repurpose tired and unloved furniture into beautiful, striking, pieces, whilst creating a worthwhile new design and keeping those memories. The kind of pieces that elegantly grace beautiful rooms to complement existing furniture or alternatively to work as a stand-alone piece.

So why not BeSmart. Be Creative. and have a BeSpoke. piece.
