How do I book onto a workshop?
Simply take a look at our website and choose the workshop you wish to book on. You can book online with a credit or debit card.
Alternatively if you prefer you can contact us via hello@furnitureguy.ie and we can issue you with an invoice, call 00353 1 840 3040 or call in-store at our furnitureguy.ie store in Swords, Co Dublin, K67 CD86.
Please be aware that until we receive payment your place on the workshop is not guaranteed.
Can I get a refund if something comes up and I can’t make it?

We do not offer refunds on any of our workshops but we do offer other options. For more information on this, please see our Refund policy section below
REFUND policy
We do not offer refunds on any of our workshops or digital gift voucher purchases.
If you are unable to attend and advise us more than 28 days before the workshop date, we will send you a promotional code for the same value as your class. This code will be valid for 6 months from the date you told us that you were unable to attend. We cannot offer change on the promotional code but it can be used as full or part payment on any workshops or classes on our website.
If you are unable to attend and the workshop date is within 28 days then you can:
- Gift your ticket to a friend or family member (ticket transfer only becomes valid when you advise us of the change of name on the booking).
- Sell your ticket to someone else (ticket transfer only becomes valid when you advise us of the change of name on the booking).
If you are unable to attend a session that you have booked as part of a course then unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or allow the ticket to be transferred into someone else's name.
Cooling Off Period
On all tickets we allow a 24-hour ‘cooling-off’ period whereby you have the right to change your mind. If this applies to you please email hello@furnitureguy.ie within 24 hours of your purchase and we will come back to you as soon as possible.
Cancellation of a Workshop
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop you will be given at least 48 hours notice. You will be offered the opportunity to transfer to another date (if possible) or a full refund of payment made. We will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur in the event of cancellation by us.
Digital Gift Vouchers
Once a digital gift voucher has been purchased it effectively becomes the equivalent of legal tender and therefore we do not have access to the full code. We are only able to see the last 4 digits of the voucher, but in the event that you lose the email with the code on we can reissue the voucher to the email that was assigned at the point of purchase. We cannot give any refunds on digital gift vouchers, nor can we extend the expiry date on the voucher. All digital gift vouchers last for 24 months.
Our Policy Explained...
Now that you have read the The Reamp Academy Refunds & Cancellations Policy below, we wanted to explain to you why the policy is as it is.
We are a small business and have extensively researched the refunds policies of a significant amount of other businesses and companies.
The information above is completely in line with other businesses and is widely reputed to be the ‘industry standard’. In fact in a couple of areas we are considerably more lenient than our industry, allowing tickets to be transferred or re-sold, which for 90% of our colleagues is not permitted.
We are a local community based business, so where we can, we want to be as generous as possible. We are also a team of 2, and the time it takes to arrange refunds, not to mention financial pressure it puts us under also takes its toll. Please do bear this in mind before you book tickets with us and please can we ask that you don't ask us to make 'an exception' for you. (You'd be surprised how many people ask us to, and it really isn't fair, especially as we have this policy for you to view in advance of booking!)
For us to be able to carry on running our business, we have to sell a minimum number of tickets for each workshop in order to cover our overheads (that’s before we make any profit at all) so if we reach that number of ticket sales and then have to issue refunds we will make a loss, which makes our business unsustainable.

What materials are provided on the course?
All materials required for the Upcycling Furniture Paint Course are fully provided to ensure a seamless and enjoyable learning experience. Participants will have access to high-quality paints, brushes, rollers, preparation products, finishing waxes or sealants, and all necessary tools and protective equipment needed to complete their project to a professional standard. The only item attendees are asked to supply is a small piece of furniture to work on during the session. This allows each participant to personalise their learning experience while benefiting from the comprehensive materials and expert guidance provided throughout the course.

The Participant releases and forever discharges the Workshop Provider, the Workshop Provider’s spouse, heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives and assigns from all manner of actions, causes of action, debts, accounts, bonds, contracts, claims and demands for or by reason of injury to person or property, including injury resulting in the death of the Participant, which has been or may be sustained as a consequence of the Participant’s participation in the workshop, or the condition of the premises and not withstanding that such damage, loss or injury may have been caused solely or partly by the negligence of the Workshop Provider.
The Participant acknowledges that these terms exist with the express intention of effecting the extinguishment of certain obligations owed to the Participant and with the intention of binding the Participant’s spouse, heirs, executors, administrators, legal representative and assigns.
The Participant understands that by agreeing to these terms they are forever prevented from suing or otherwise claiming against the Workshop Provider for any property loss of personal injury that the Participant may sustain while participating in or preparing for, going to or coming from the above noted activity.

AGE RESTRICTIONS
Socak Upcycled Design & Retail Company Ltd T/A Furnitureguy.ie have a minimum age for most workshops of 18. If Children are attending thy must be accompanied by an adult at all times and these terms and conditions are deemed to be accepted by an adult on their behalf at time of booking.
TRANSACTIONS
All transactions made through the website are managed via our website provider Shopify, payments are only collected via Shopify for your protection.
All transactions made in-store are managed via our merchant provider Revolut, payments are only collected via Revolut for your protection.
No card information is made available or stored by Socak Upcycled Design & Retail Co. Ltd T/A Furnitureguy.ie Any refusal of payment by your credit / debit card provider is not our liability and we reserve the right to cancel your order at any time.
Deposit payment must be paid prior to workshop and balance paid a maximum of 7 days prior to workshop starting. If the workshop booking is made less than 7 days prior to start date full payment is required.
SAFETY INFORMATION
It is strongly recommended that all participants wear closed toed shoes, tie back long hair and avoid loose fitting clothing items for safety reasons.
Agreement to these terms is to also to agree that the participants have no physical limitations, medical ailments, physical or mental disabilities that would limit or prevent them from participating in the above mentioned activity.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure your safety such as correct tuition and safety equipment provision the participant acknowledges and understands that there are inherent dangers associated with up cycling furniture, sanding furniture, cutting wallpaper and other related activities, and that mortal or serious personal injuries and property damage, including (but not limited to) physical effort, cuts, burns, and/or inhalation of hazardous substances may occur from participation in such activities and participation is at your own risk.
Anyone suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to attend and will not receive a refund. Socak Upcycled Design & Retail Co. Ltd T/A Furnitureguy.ie reserves the right to withdraw any person whose conduct is deemed detrimental, or anti social without refund. Socak Upcycled Design & Retail Co. Ltd T/A Furnitureguy.ie reserves the right to deny access or to remove any person from a class at Socak Upcycled Design & Retail Co. Ltd T/A Furnitureguy.ie discretion based on our assessment of an individual’s potential risk of injury.
INSURANCE
Socak Upcycled Design & Retail Co. Ltd T/A Furnitureguy.ie does not offer customers insurance and as such recommends that workshop participants take out their own insurance to cover any cancellation costs.
